About Camp Courage

A Special Place for Courageous Kids

Founded in 1994, Camp Courage creates an unforgettable recreational and educational experience for children, teens, young adults, and families living with cancer or a blood disorder being treated at the BI-LO Charities Childrenís Cancer Center.

Camp is a place where choice and freedom to play, laugh, explore, and grow is encouraged.

Trained counselors, program specialist, and volunteers help nurture the campersí self-confidence and provide opportunities for individual development.

Camp Courage is held at the Pleasant Ridge Camp and Retreat Center in Travelerís Rest, SC. The camp is a state of the art fully assessable facility that caters to the campers physical, mental, mental, and social needs.

Staff of the BI-LO Charities Childrenís Cancer Center at the Greenville Childrenís Hospital provide 24-hour medical supervision and care while the children are at camp.
