Marie Bolding

Name:  Marie Bolding, RN

Education:
Registered Nurse, Certified Clinical Research Professional

Work History:
I have worked mainly in Pediatrics since I graduated.

I started work at The Christie Pediatric Group in December 1973 with Dr. Cary Stroud and we treated children with cancer and blood disorders and worked closely with nearby Children’s Cancer Centers for their care.

We moved over to GMH when our Center opened in July 1986 which was called Pediatric Hematology Oncology Center. I worked as a nurse the first year then we became a member of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Group and I divided my time between nursing and clinical research.

Eventually the area in clinical research became full time for me so I had to give up some of my nursing duties which I still miss.

Professional Interests:
I will always be first a Professional Nurse interested in the well being of the patient and family and I feel that my job helps me to do that even though I am a behind the scenes person.
